About Us

Alistair and Bruce Paton are twin brothers from Melbourne, Australia (Bruce is five minutes older).

We are non-identical twins but share a passion for exploring and photographing wild places. The search for a great photo has taken us to some amazing locations we might never otherwise see, often at times few others see them. Hopefully our work will inspire others to get out and find their own special places; on this site you’ll find track notes for dozens of long-distance treks and shorter day walks, and if you have a camera, we’ve included some notes on how, when and where to get the best shots.

If you like our photos and would like to see one on your wall or another product, drop us a note on our Contact Us page. We also love to get feedback on the site, our photos and track notes – help us keep them up to date! You can also find our work regularly in Wild magazine and other selected outdoor publications. And you can follow our adventures, and get a regular dose of wilderness, by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

When not out exploring new locations, Alistair is the AFL editor for News Corporation’s Australian websites while Bruce works in science education. Both are based in Melbourne. You can follow Al on Instagram at @al_wildsight and on Twitter at @al_superfooty.

Check back regularly for new photos and track notes. There is always somewhere new to explore.
